solving linear equations Let T as Tulips I as irises and let's make two linear equations out of the given data . 6T+5I = 15.75 7T+2I=12.05 multiply first equation with 2 and second equation with 5 12T+10I=31.50 35T+10I=60.25 (subtracting) -------------------------- -23T = 28.75 T = $1.25 6T+5I=15.75 6(1.25)+5I=15.75 7.50+5I=15.75 5I=8.25 I=$1.65 So 1 tulip=$1.25 and 1 Irises=$1.65
