Radicals are nothing but a root which we also called as radicals. Radical is a symbol (v), a symbol which is used to indicate the radicals or nth root. Radicals are indicated with the symbol (sqrt) and sqrt (). Normally, radicals are rewrite like, sqrt of (a) is rewrite as a (1/2). Likewise radicals are expressed in various forms. The expression sqrt (8) is read as “radical eight”, or “the radicals of eight”.

Step 1: Factors of 121 = 111 xx 111
sqrt (121) = sqrt(111 xx 111)
= sqrt (111^2)
Step 2: Square root of 11^2 = 11 ; we know rootn (x^n) = x
Step 3: Factors of 16 = 4 xx 4
sqrt (16) = sqrt(4 xx 4) = sqrt(4^2)
Step 4: sqrt (4^2) =4 ; we know rootn (x^n) = x
Step 5: so, sqrt (11) / sqrt (16)= 11 / 4 = 2.75
Answer, for the given simple radical form examples is 2.75
