Transformation Reflection


Transformation is a change of position of an object on a plane. Transformation is a function that is mapping to a set x into another set or mapping itself. Basically the Geometry transformation can be classified into two types. They are rigid and non- rigid transformation. The term ‘reflection of geometry, helps the determinations of reflection in a geometric point or dot is performed only through a given point or line. The transformation of  reflections in two right angular axes produce a rotation of straight angle (180°), that is a half turn. Let us learn about transformation reflection.

  • It means we can move the object from one plane to another plane only the object will be move it differs from rotation and reflection generally every transformation has a direction and distance.

  • To reflect an object means to produce the mirror image.
  • Every reflection has a mirror line.
  • The reflection is a "flip" of an aim over a line.

  •  A horizontal reflection
  •  A vertical reflection.

  • Dilation
  • Glide reflection
1. Dilation:
          Dilation is used to change the image size. A scale factor is used to measure the image is smaller or greater.
2. Glide reflection:
          Glide reflection is the combination of line of reflection and beside the translation line.A glide reflection it always combines a reflection with a translation along the direction of the mirror line.
           The line of reflection is halfway in both of red points, blue points, and green points and the line of reflection is directly in the center of both points.
